- Most airline ticket issued are non-refundable, and non-transferable. Name changes are not permitted. But, you may be able to exchange your tickets for different dates. Penalty fees apply and not all tickets are changable. Please contact us for details.
2. Which route shall I take?
- There is no straightforward answer to this question. We would suggest that you think about the time of year you intend to start your trip and head for the good weather and travelling conditions, being wary of monsoon. To make this easy for you we’ve created our very own round the world route planner so that you can create your trip. (route planner)
3.Where will I stay?
- Before you go, it’s always a good idea to book your first few nights accommodation so that you can find your feet. Plus, you don’t really want to be wandering around a strange city after a long journey.
- Whilst you’re travelling, you could end up sharing accommodation if you’re staying long-term in a place: stay in hostels, hotels or even with friends and family. Don’t worry too much about where you’re going to rest your head. The best thing to do is take a look before you hand over any cash, whether it is a dorm in USA or a hut in Thailand, make sure it’s clean and safe. After all, you need to be happy and relaxed.
4. How do I know it’s safe to travel in a particular country?
- With a little common sense, most countries are relatively safe to travel in. If you’re heading to an area of potential unrest, call the Foreign Office Advice Centre on 020 7008 0232 or visit their website.
5. What happens if I lose my ticket?
- If you lose your STA Travel ticket, you can contact one of our 450 branches worldwide. If you are unable to visit a branch, you can contact our UK Travel Help Centre by phone, fax or email. They will give you assistance and advice and soon you’ll be back on the road.
