
Also located in the Gardens is the National
Herbarium of New South Wales, which houses plant specimens collected by
Sir Joseph Banks on Captain Cooks east coast voyage in 1770.
2. Sydney Harbour Bridge
It
is now possible to walk over the top of the bridge. The adventure is
not cheap, and not for the faint-hearted but it does offer the best
views of Sydney.
People

Port Jackson, also called Sydney Harbour, is the natural harbour of Sydney. Widely considered to be one of the world's finest harbours, it is the location of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The location of the first European settlement in Australia. Port Jackson has continued to play a key role in the history and development of Sydney.
Many recreational events are based on or around the harbour itself particularly the Sydney New Year's Eve. celebrations and the starting point of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
